How to start preparing for the PMP Exam?
A GPC, or Government Purchase Card, is a card specifically administered by the government for qualified, covered purchases. You can use this card to pay directly or pay through an invoice. Often the cardholder is a different person than the one attending the course, in which case we recommend paying via an invoice. If paying through an invoice, you will need to get request one from PMTI, which can be done via email or by calling us.

How do you get the 35 contact hours for the PMP?
Earn the 35 contact hours from a PMI Authorized Training Partner, or hold an active CAPM certification. From December 1, 2026, PMI accepts live classes only from authorized partners, and PMTI is a PMI Premier Authorized Training Partner.
Self-paced courses count from providers aligned to the current exam outline, with stated hours, an end-of-course assessment, and a completion record. Live training completed before December 1, 2026 remains eligible under the
earlier rules.
Can you self-study for the PMP exam?
Yes. You can self-study with the PMBOK Guide, practice tests, and online materials, but PMI still requires 35 contact hours of formal project management education or an active CAPM. Self-paced and instructor-led courses both satisfy the hours.
An application without the 35 hours or a CAPM does not qualify for the exam.
What are the PMP eligibility requirements?
